Biography
I am a freelance photojournalist based in London and The Netherlands. In October 2010 I graduated with distinction for my Master in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster, London. I also have a BA degree in Communication Management.
Recent commissions and publications are the following:
- ‘Trouw’ daily Dutch newspaper on 5 April and 22, 26 and 30 March 2011, documentary on the Dutch Somali community in Leicester.
- ‘Vrij Nederland’ weekly Dutch news magazine, January 2011.
- ‘Forum’ internal magazine of the Dutch Employer's Union VNO-NCW, January 2011.
- ‘Crossing Currents’ exhibition in P3 Gallery London, September 2010 included prints of A disappearing sea.
- ‘BZ Blad’ internal magazine for Dutch Foreign Affairs employees, March-April 2010.
- ‘De Volkskrant’ daily Dutch newspaper, in February 2010, on London’s wealthiest squatter.
- ‘De Zaaier’, inhouse magazine by the Dutch Worker’s Union FNV Bondgenoten, in October 2009, on the strike of exploited and suppressed Polish employees in Oirschot, The Netherlands.
- ‘Your World’ exhibition, on Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, October - November 2009. I documented numerous events as Rotterdam was chosen European Youth Capital 2009.
